Foreign tour operators in occupied Cyprus
Under the title Foreign Tour Operators in occupied Cyprus, Turkish Cypriot daily VATAN newspaper (07.06.06) reports that 43 tour operators from Bulgaria, Russia and Ukraine and six Bulgarian journalists are being hosted in the occupied part of Cyprus by the Tez Tour and Fellahoglu Turizm tourist agencies and Zodeia Producers Union.

The paper further reports that a touristic campaign has been launched in cooperation with Tez Tour, Fellahoglu Tourism and Zodeia Producers Union, based on the Turkish-Russian partnership.

On the same issue, Mr Ismail Gunaydin of the Tez Tour, stated that Cyprus is an attractive destination for vacations, especially among the Russian tourists, while the manager of Fellahoglu Turizm, Mr Ahmet Yildirim, said that every year 200,000 Russians are visiting the free areas of Cyprus.

According to the paper, this is the second visit that foreign tour operators conduct to the occupied Cyprus within 15 days upon an invitation by Tez Tour. During the first visit, 83 foreign tour operators from five countries had come to the occupied part of Cyprus.
