Its not the turks to blame, not all turks are bad.

Its the turk politics to blame, its their generals to blame, its the weapon supplier to blame (US), its the whole NATO to blame, for not doing anything.

yes yes, it is hard to point the finger in this corrupt and evil world Charalambos . . Turkey/US/UK/Nato are all to blame . . Turks are often blamed as they represent the nation that undertook this massive and horrific invasion. . .Some Turks are against and other are for what happened, some dont even know much about it or even care about it.

Ermmmmm.......for your information it is the fascist GREEKS to blame with the fascist GC who started the entire Cyprus problem with their intention of forcible uniting with Greece which was may i remind you under a fascist dictatorship at the times and committed an illecal junta as recognised by the UN and the rest of the world and Turkey under the 1960 constitution which was signed by the gc, tc, Greece, Turkey and Britain under the UN umbrella was within her legal rights to intervene on the island to stop the bloody murders being committed by EOKA against the gc and tc alike.

May i also add that the current so called president of the ROC (Tpap) is a known terrorist who was part of EOKA and wrote the famous 'AKRITAS PLAN' which envisioned the total anniahalation of the tc community and as such was going to perpetrate a genocide of massive proportions to satisfy his Hellenic dreams.

True what u say is true but u forget that turkey lead the invasion, the US and UK would lead the invasion by its help from turkey, but instead turkey saw its chance to invade and make the north turkey, what gives them more power, they treatend the GC's to go south, my aunt lost her house cause of this.

My family lost all their lands and homes and we are talking 30-40 people as we are all originally from the south and under the current so called ROC laws we will be lucky if we ever see them again, you also forget that the tc were forcible removed by EOKA in 1963 and for 11 years until 1974 we were forced to live in ghetto's compromising 3% of the island and refused our human rights and neccessaties like medical treatment, food resources etc.

Both sides of the cyprus coin has an identical or compariable tradegy to it and this all stemmed from the minority who were not content to rule themselves and wanted to be swallowed up by the so called motherlands and unite with them, do you really believe that was the solution???? The current enviable good economy of the south is enjoyed and envied worldwide by the fact it is governed by her own people who do what is best for Cyprus and not Greece imo. and its just a shame that the tc and gc did not accomplish this together in a united cyprus but seperately.

Bro, the 1960 agreements never said anything about occupying 36% of the country and making 200,000 people refugees in their own country...yes to intervention and no to occupation for 32 years with colonization on top of that...the 1960 agreements say nothing about that...regardless who started it...and lets make a distinction between the 2 eokas...

Of course it never but unfortunately the small minded cypriots that we had in position of power made sure through their actions that this would be the end result as they had much to gain and still do from having cyprus as a divided island.

Micheal, the Green Line was all planned way way before the 1974 invasion. It was intentionally planned to invade and steal that northern proportion of Cyprus. Infact, Famagusta was not included in the land that was to be taken over and occupied, however they stole this as well. This is the reason why it is still unlived in since the invasion of 1974, because there was never any intention of occupying it before the 1974 invasion - i.e it wasnt in the planned 'green line'

EOKA was initially formed to defend Cyprus against the Brittish. Many died defending thier country against the Brittish military forces.
