Again let me reiterate Both sides suffered barbaric losses, rapes, property losses etc etc etc .

Greek Cypriots DO NOT have a monopoly on pain in the Cyprob.

They have 82% of the pain TC's have 18% - put things in perspective !

How wrong to put pain and suffering in percentages, people who lost loved ones would argue they suffered 100% and not the community percentages, so very wrong the above statement imo.

How can you make such a statement?? The population of GC's was 82% of Cyprus and TC's 18% - are you saying I am wrong???

My family and I ARE THOSE people that lost loved ones so yes we have suffered 100%.

We should not put suffering down to percentage and because the GC are a majority means that they suffered more, all cypriots suffered one time or another and by putting it down to percentage we in a way wether knowingly or not end up belittling the others pain and suffering.

IMO we should show respect and compassion to all cypriots.

yes i agree with your point here brother. . however, what significance does the proportion of the Cypriot population being GC or TC have to you?

None at all, you are either a cypriot or not what language or religion you choose to use is irrelivant in the scheme of things imo.

Or the south waving Greek flags and singing the Greek national anthem.

The shocking thing is that when i went to cyprus this year i went over to the south and to Larnaka, to be precise Makenzie beach and to my SHOCK there was not even one ROC flag on the beach yet every 20 meters or so there was a GREEK flag flying all along the beach and i felt as though i was on one of the Greek islands and not my home country CYPRUS where the cypriots live.

I took a photo of this with my wife and children standing on the beach and the Greek flag behind them on makenzie beach and for those with any doubt can either venture up there to see for themselves or wait a while until i get the photo's developed.

true brother, there are flags of Greece everywhere in the south. This does not mean though that Cyprus and GC's still want enosis. Most of the Greek Cypriots I know are extremely proud of being Cypriot and identify themselves as Cypriot. Yet, I know what you are saying because I see it everywhere. .the flag of Greece has dominance of the flag of Cyprus. . it is being used at memorial spots, tourist spots, old school cafes, soccer clubs, soccer games, etc, etc its everywhere. I gues this is something of that has not changed given the history of Cyprus . .The flag of Cyprus should be used more in the South and with greater pride. . I reiterate that using the flag of Greece doesnt resemble people favouring ENOSIS with Greece.. Nor does it signify that Greece has threatening political or military power and influence in Cyprus, whereas Turkey has had and still continues to have illegal and unethical control, power and influence of Cyprus and the people of Cyprus, all Cypriots
