Post The Finland Plan for the Cyprus Problem
Dear Members

The Annan plan regretfully was rejected and failed. . Will anything develop with the plan Finland is working on? What differences and similarities does it have with the Annan plan? Will it work? Does Cyprus have a choice but to accept? All thoughts and discussion welcome ..

Under the leadership of Tpap the ROC will not accept the Finnish plan as Turkey will not accept the plan either, the problem imo is the fact that Tpap has insisted he will not meet Talat and if the tc want to attend to send their FM as part of the Turkish delegation, with these all in mind how can you expect to build up any momentum when Tpap shows complete disregard to the democratically elected leader of the tc and also Greece has completely declined to attend which in turn leaves Turkey no other option but to refuse to attend themselves as they do not recognise the Tpap admin. as the goverment of cyprus.

Even though the Finnish plans are designed to break the deadlock i think will only serve to push the sides further apart.
