Eric, your experience to have survived this justifies your view. I would feel the same way if I was in your shoes. I would probably think the same. No wonder you have such strong views against EOKA. There were also ALOT of Greek Cypriots that were targeted and killed by EOKA as they did not support ENOSIS. The problem is that the Turks did the exact same thing to my family as well. The invasion of 1974 was more horrific and certainly on a way larger scale. . Do you not see this side of the coin? Are you at all for a fair and viable solution for Cyprus?

It was no necessary for any one to die or for any war. The GC's and Greeks could have bought the island and get rid of us TC's the legal way but they didn't, they set out to kill us all and I'd go as far as to say that their intentions were not to save money but to have the pleasure of killing Turks.
If you relly believe that I do not feel sorry for this who got caught up in the cross fire and were killed or lost their belongings then you are very wrong. But in war even the innocent die and suffer and if it wasn't for the genocide attempts of us TC's by the majority of GC's joined by 20,000 Greek soldiers form Greece, no one would have suffered.
Rousias, blame the ones who are responsible for starting the genocide war in 1963 not the ones who finished it and saved a lot of lives on both sides. You know as well as I do that if Turkey shipped out, TPaps and his cronies will waste no time trying to finish what they started in 1963.
The only ones to blame for all the killing in Cyprus are the GC's and the Greeks who wanted ENOSIS and started the genocide war for ENOSIS and are still after ENOSIS.
If you want all this to end, don't vote for intransigent terrorist TPaps as your leader.
